Junior Marketing Analyst

United World Telecom (UWT) is a dynamic and fast growing telecommunications company doing business in all continents through independent agents, resellers and direct marketing. We are currently looking for a full time Junior Marketing Analyst to be employed in our Delray Beach, Florida office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)
  • Research, collect and organize competitor data related to pricing, service features, commissions and other relevant data to be used in competition analysis.
  • Assist in writing, creating and editing marketing materials such as brochures, newsletters, and promotional documents.
  • Help coordinating the production and fulfillment of various projects.
  • Use specific mass communication software to inform affiliates and customers of updates.
  • Assist in generating status reports for the marketing department.
  • Research, analyze and negotiate advertising media to support regional marketing campaigns.
  • Utilize available marketing tools to monitor marketing campaigns and perform routine updates on various online advertising campaigns such as PPC on Google, Yahoo, and MSN search engines.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business related field
  • 1 year experience in marketing
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and the Internet search engines
  • Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and superior organizational skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and French

Controller

We are looking for a Controller with strong database skills to report directly to CEO

Description:

  • Constantly monitor changes in costs to identify destinations below minimum margins

  • Constantly assess current accounting operations and offer regular recommendations for improvement and implementation of new processes

  • Identify, analyze and implement cost savings opportunities and maintain contact with carriers and oversees rates reduction requests

  • Prepare timely, accurate, and periodic financials statements including identification and explanation of significant cost and balance sheet variances

  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card receipts and internal systems

  • Review bills payable for accuracy and initiate payments

  • Supervise preparation of all tax returns and ensure regulatory compliance

  • Oversees collection of past due accounts, accounts payable, payroll, banking and insurance matters

  • Supervise Financial and Billing analyst to ensure correct and timely invoicing and collections as well as correct and timely calculation and payment of agent commissions

  • Interact with Customer Service Manager to insure proper credit card fraud screening procedures are maintained

Requirements:

  • This position requires a degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • Candidate should have strong database understanding and skills (Access, SQL), be a self starter, inquisitive, attentive to details, eager to improve established systems and create new ones.

  • 5 to 10 year progressive experience in small companies with revenues of $10MM to $100MM, used to deal with high volume of credit card transactions, prepayments.

  • Telecom experience is a plus
